More than a year ago, I bought the "String Quilt Revival" book at JoAnn's, and the no-show nylon mesh stabilizer referred to in the book and video from Nancy's Notions. The nylon mesh stabilizer stays in the blocks & quilt, and if you are ironing the blocks as you stitch down strips, a small craft iron would be better than the regular iron I used and got onto the stabilizer, made a mess.

I love the look of the string quilts! Mary Johnson has a similar quilt on her MaryQuilts.com blog. It's called "Solid Stars and Strings". Virginia Baker and Barbara Sanders, sisters who authored "String Quilt Revival", have their own website and sell products to use in making string quilts. Did I say that I love the look of string quilts?!

DMarie, thanks for posting about your quilt, and for the information about the deli papers for foundation stitching.

Fantastic colors. They really pop against the white. I need to add this one to my list of projects - think of all the scraps it would use!
