My nephew's hours got cut back so naturally that cut their budget. His wife called me since I used cloth diapers. My sister is 14 years younger and never washed a diaper in her life. Sent her a gift card when she was pregnant for their first child. She checked and it was still good. She bought as many as she could. Told her what kind of detergent I used. Her aunt sent her another pack. Told her that she could use the cloth at home and disposable when out. Found some vinyl waterproof pants for the diapers. She has currently about 4 dozen diapers (cloth) to start with. Bought her 18 month old some big boy training pants and he is very happy with them. A small start but a start.

How sweet! Yes, I too remember the days of wringer washers and line drying. (and the chilblains in my hands in spring and autumn) You did an awesome job and I love the wee darlin's name spelled out on the laundry.

Your quilt is absolutely gorgeous. Love everything about it. The name is gorgeous. So pretty for a little girl. Did not mean to hijack and ramble on about my nephew's situation. Please forgive me.

That is too funny. I remember my mom telling us that is what she used to do. I only used cloth diapers if I was too broke to buy the paper diapers. But, yes, I do know what they are. I love your quilt. And, your great story.

Tessagin, I enjoyed reading your post, love when members share a little of their lives. Mundy, no pattern but you're welcome to copy if you want, it was pretty easy. Just applique I cut out until I liked the way they looked. I did cut the "diapers" oversized squares until embroidered then cut my shape.
