Cute idea, some kids wouldn't know what a clothesline is let alone birdseye diapers. haha

How cute! When my oldest niece was born in '85, my sister had said that she was going to use the cloth diapers, so I bought one dozen Gerber diapers and sewed velcro on them for a "mock disposable" type diaper. Thought she might come closer to using them if they were easier to fasten and unfasten. Never saw the baby wear them and all she ever wore was disposables!

Love the "blanket" diapers on the line. I do remember washing the diapers for my son, and hanging them out on the line in the sunshine where the sun bleached them and the breeze kept them very soft and sweet smelling. However, we moved after our daughter was born and with too many trees on our lot there wasn't enough sunshine to hang them out, so I switched to the ones "out of the box" about 25% of the time. Your quilt is absolutely adorable, thanks for sharing.

I used cloth diapers (not a diaper service) when my four children were born in the late 70's early 80's. I had three in diapers at once at one point. My daughter is now having children and she is using cloth diapers for the two she has presently in diapers as are some of her friends. Not everyone today uses disposable diapers.

    Cute quilt!
