Izy... I realize what you mean. There are 4 section A's and 4 section B's per block. An A and a B together make up one quarter. I'll do all the same piece on 4 sections at a time. That will help, I'm sure.

And hey... if I mess up on a color at least they will ALL be the same wrong color! Who would know it wasn't supposed to be like that?

Do you have one completed that you can hang as a quick reference?

No, I don't have one completed. Each of the 24 blocks will be different so I won't have a compelted reference. I could print an extra A and B of each block and color each piece. Or even better, cut a litte 1 inch piece or two of each fabric and pin it to the section it goes on.

That will also give me something to play around with the fabrics to decide on placement in each block.

Thank you for all the suggestions.

This is the second star. It took me a total of 4 hours from start to finish, that's including cutting all the fabric pieces.

Let me see... 24 blocks at 4 hours each is 96 hours, plus a black border around all of them (gives me a chance to make everything square if it isn't), then sewing all of them together, then an outside border.

AND take out all the papers, almost forgot that part. Not to mention quilting and binding.

This might be one of those that I'm not giving away! :P

From the looks of that compass, I'm not sure I would consider giving it away anyhow...well...unless you need my addy

Great job! You will continue to get faster the more you do. I don't cut my pieces, but I do cut the fabric in strips the width of the largest piece that I need, then I just grab the entire strip to use. It seems easier to me, but thats just me. Looks like you have the hang of it for sure! Beautiful!!
