    Default A different baby quilt

My Nightmare Before Christmas baby quilt is finished - not my choice of fabric, but I aim to please, so what is, is. I purchased the two feature fabrics, but everything else was from my stash. The back was pieced when no stores were open, so I really was on my own. Apparently I like this pattern for baby quilts. I think this is the 4th one. Pattern; Fatty, Fatty Two by Four Size : 49x49 - I little larger than I like.

Nice! A larger quilt is great for 'tummy time'...(we never had a designated time for that when mine were babies....how times change!)

Cute quilt. You were very creative with making the back and did a wonderful job on it. This "stay at home" rule is really making us all use up our stash and be quite creative. Very pretty quilt

Stay at home is driving me crazy. I decided a month ago to do my own shopping every two weeks as before this started.

We have been retired for 4-1/2 Years and I stay home most of the time and make donation quilts all year. Nothing different for me. As planned I am using up most of my stash. Solids and whites/off whites need to be replenished. I like to buy in person. I can't wait for the stores to reopen.

    Very pretty quilt and back.

    Thank you, everyone.

I think 49x49 is a large baby quilt, but it just means it will be usable longer - if that apparel fabric holds up. I think he will like the back/white squares when he's a few months old. The next baby quilt on my machine right now is 39 x 39 and it seems too small.

It is kind of you to let the recipient pick the fabric. I like the quilt back you pieced using your stash.
