Default Digging through the orphan blocks, I found.........

these 6 Hourglass panels, 12 x 15.5, that I started 5 years ago! So I squared them up, sewed them together and added a border! Voila! A quick baby quilt! After I got the border on, I found another pile of the same blocks that is enough for an identical quilt top the same size! It will be 5 panels so I'll have to make the 6th panel but it's still another quick baby quilt!

Most of the fabrics I used in this quilt were vintage and home dec. I love the way it turned out and especially that it was done in 2 days' time!

I hope you are inspired and will dig through your orphan blocks too! You know sometimes it does pay to wait awhile before putting a quilt together! Our styles change and we gain experience we didn't have back then! So you just never know what you'll come up with looking through those orphan blocks again!

really nice! I love the idea of using those orphan blocks . they are so much more beautiful in a quilt than by themselves.
