I found it -- but is there such a thing as a perfect quilt? If it bothers you that much, perhaps you better fix it. I know that I've ripped entire garments apart and stitched again because I saw a tiny little mistake that no one else but me would notice.

I do see it and think that it will be well worth the time to redo that area for such a beautiful and special quilt.

I only found it because you said so. I really had to search. I agree, if it will bother you, then fix it, but I wouldn't. that's the charm of hand made. What is truly perfect?

Yes I would have her send it back.. even though they may not notice it, every time you see it, you won't notice all the beautiful work you have in it, you will only notice the mistake. but the top is absolutely beautiful!

It is such a beautiful quilt and it is for a special gift. I would fix it.

That is certainly a hard question to answer. I found it quite obvious (because of the "reds" on point not being lined up). That then brings attention to the whole upper corner and other "errors" are then noticeable. I have never seen this pattern before so I can't tell how much work it is to fix it. But I'd recommend a fix - you will always know it is there and wonder who else sees it.
But, that being said, it is a beautiful quilt!!

I agree. Because you pointed it out, I saw it. If it were mine, I would have to fix it. Just knowing it was there would be too uncomfortable for me.
