First row with the red diamonds, last one is a block off. I'd leave it. All of my quilts have one mistake, that's become my signature. Proves to everyone that you own an original Linda Rucker piece! LOL!

It would really bother me at my age now. Probably as a young bride I would not have known its sentamental value for me in years to come. My vote would be to get it back.

I had to look for it for quite a while, it's up to you if you want to fix it or not. I think this means that I could never be a quilt police since it was not obvious to me right away.

I'd get it back and fix it. That right corner was an issue for you. I see 2 white/color blocks turned the wrong way and your points and 4-patch need to be switched. Also 2 more white/color in the circle just below that.

Did that with a double Irish Chain once and had to take out an entire bottom section of 8 rows.

I would get it back - you will always know and it will bug you. Its such a shame - good advise about taking a photo to check the pattern,

    really love the quilt.

The Ladies that I used to quilt with always said that a mistake in a quilt makes it a God's Quilt. If there is a mistake then you are not trying to be perfect like God and so it is OK. If you do leave it and anyone asks why it is like this then tell them: "That is my God mistake, and this is now a God's Quilt". It proves I'm not perfect but I still love you.

I haven't read all the posts, but did you see that there are 3 in the close area? I'm so sorry for you and I feel sick knowing all the hours you have in this beautiful piece. However, you'll always be upset if you don't figure out how to fix it. I know this
from personal experience and wanting to listen to the kind folks
around me. My warmest wishes in your decision.

The quilt is beautiful. I suspect no one will notice it buy you, but it bothers you, so call the quilter and see if she has begun on it.

I would definitely have to fix it. My eye would always go to that spot when I looked at the quilt and then I wouldn't be able to see the beauty in the whole quilt.

When it's on the bed you would never notice it in a million years because of all the other activity around it and where it lays on the bed which is probably close to the corner. I always heard it's humble to leave a mistake on a quilt and adds a bit of character. My vote is leave it.
