Such a beautiful quilt. What ever you decide, I'm sure the recipient will be thrilled with the finished quilt!

The Navajo Indians always wove a mistake into their blankets - if it really bothers you and you have time without making yourself crazy to fix it, then do so. But most people would never notice! It is really lovely.

I have always made mistakes but this one is so obvious that it has to be fixed. If I had left it alone it would have troubled me. I'm not about being perfect. It's just that it looks off balance. It's just so noticeable.

I loved the idea of "marriage not perfect".

The pattern for this is The Garden Patch. Very close to The Storm at Sea pattern. With the difference to one block.

Thank you all for your input.
I am glad you are happy! I was thinking you could tell him it represents his leaving the nest and starting his own family. It is a very pretty quilt!

First things first: You created a BEAUTIFUL quilt! As you asked for advice, I'd fix it or let the quilter fix it. This will be done in no time b/c it is the upper right corner.

I would get it back and fix it. It does show up and you will think about it forever. Fix it up and everyone will be happy! It is a really pretty quilt!

It may be out of print by now, this posting is from 4 years ago But you never know...someone might be able to find it for you. I did a quick google search and didn't find it either.

Trained in proof reading legal documents, mistakes usually jump out at me immediately, but I had to look very closely at the top and unfortunately, I see 3 mistakes - the corner flower and two blocks directly below it are out of kilter. For your own peace of mind, please get it back and fix it, at least it's near the edges of the quilt and not in the middle. Otherwise it is a beautiful quilt - does it have a name? Similar to Storm at Sea!
