I've been wracking my brain, trying to come up with a way to fix my foot pedal so that it will only go down part way for when I FMQ. Hadn't come up with any solution yet. And here you are, giving me just what I need! I can't thank you enough. This should be a big help.

It regulates the voltage going thru the pedal to the motor. Just like a dimmer switch for your lights in the home. Your machine plugs into the dimmer switch,,the dimmer switch plugs into the wall. therefore it regulates the voltage going thru the cord to your pedal only allowing enough speed set on the dimmer switch.
I will definately try this!! How cool! I have my mother-in-law's
Kenmore sewing machine in a cabinet and would love to use it for FMQ but even a little pressure on the foot pedal and you are going 150 mph. This may just be the best solution. I was thinking about tightening the belt but I'm concerned how that would affect the motor. Thanks for the great idea!!
