    Your quilting is gorgeous! Great pattern and great use of color - I never would have put the two together, but it works!

    Thank you all for your kind words. Yes, when making this quilt I was thinking "the red hat lady" and I was told this lady loved to wear purple as well as red. She has received it and has called me to thank me. As I had moved away from the area where she lives she never expected to hear from me or to receive anything so I was very happy she now has the quilt in hand and loves it. I'm so glad it worked out as one never knows if the person you give a gift whether they will really like it or not. Guess I lucked out on this one.
