    I don't see the problem. I love the pinwheels in the corners, they anchor the piece, IMHO.

    This twister is a learning process, isn't it? I can see your disappointment, because your design took a different path. I think that's called serendipity. That can be marvelous. I think you should make another like you envisioned. But first, I think you should add a snowflake blue and white border fabric. Then I would accentuate those corners with a snowflake design. You could consider a quilting pattern, a large button, or how about some glitzy "jewels" in icy white or blue? Just go with the flow.
