Being a crazy quilter my largest pieces are quarter yards!
So I can keep them in plastic bins; but I collect all colors, types of fabrics, solids and patterns; I am collecting for an Oceanscape, so I have lots of blues and greens; here's an idea of what I want to do when I take Judith Baker Montano's Seascape class in September:
You have a wonderful talent if that's what you are going to make!

Beautiful fabric. Red,black, and white look great. I'm always collecting purple. Lately I've been collecting aqua/orange.

It seems that I gravitate toward the pinks & greens. Could not believe how much I have of those colors. I must make myself use some other colors and get out of the rut.

I love Orange. Would love to do a orange scrappy quilt, would need to find an orange swap for that.

    Love you fabrics.

that is from Judith's web site, noted above the pic! She teaches a Seascape class, which I want to take in Sept. the fabrics are crazy quilted with the blues, greens etc. But everything else on there is done by hand. Either embroidery stitches, or tack down fancy yarns!
Google Seascape crazy quilts, Ocean crazy quilts and you will see a lot of examples! It's very popular, especially made into small purses.

Your choice of colors will look fantastic with the pattern you found. Being new to quilting and also a lover of blues, most of the fabric I have been collecting is in the blues, as well as mauve. Have some ideas as to the placemats I am going to attempt to make and having over 300 blocks of various shades of solid blues, stripes, flowers, etc. I think that the color value of all of them go together and should look great when finshed.

Lately I have been picking up browns. Alot of browns have black in them and I am trying to pick up the ones without it.
I love your black, white and reds. Were did you get your pattern that pattern at?
