My friend's grandson, age 8, made me some frig magnets. He did the design himself. When he gave them to me today, I immediately saw quilt designs. He chose the colors himself as well.

If I use 5 inch squares (or even 4 inch squares) and follow his design, I will have a very large quilt top.

Wouldn't he love it if you made a quilt from his design? It might encourage him to create more designs. It was nice of him to think of you.

He'll be thrilled if you did a quilt like his designs.

I see quilt blocks and patterns everywhere I look! Even when I'm not thinking about quilting, like in church. Oh well, I guess it's just a side affect of being a quilt nut. My family ( sisters ) laugh at me about it.

Me too!! Just the other night at my mom's house I was drinking out of one of her glasses!! As i tipped it up for the last swallow i looked into the bottom of the glass and there was a beautiful bursting star!! I sat there for about 10-15 min thinking how I could turn it into a quilt!! LOL

What a cool idea and once the quilt is made he will know that he designed the whole idea.

LOL, has he been watching you quilt? You may have a future quilter in the family.

I see possible squares everywhere too!
