you can probably use all of it, however, I have had problems with the "sparkly" thread and the quilting thread with the wax on them. Perhaps you will find some in there and practice so you can tell us how to use it all properly!!!

That was a great find on the cones. You might want to check the strength of the older thread before you use it in seams. If you pull on it with both hands and it breaks, throw it out or mark it for decoration only.

Wow, most of those are really great quality threads.... what a great find.
How come I can't come across these great deals? I must not be living right.
A friend told me today, that yesterday she was at a thrift store and bought a bag of fabrics. When she came home and opened it up it had 2 quilt tops stuffed in there with other stuff. One was about a queen size, and the other was larger than a lap. She is so excited! I can see why.

The thread looks like it's fairly new and of good quality, too. Lucky you! Don't even bother to try to explain to DH. Men can't cope with this sort of thing. But I saw my DH once buy a box of screws, nails, and door hinges at a garage sale and become ecstatic about it. I caught myself just before saying "what are you going to DO with all that stuff." :D 8-)

Most quilters go back to the addiction after a while of being clean, though.
