When my mother-in-law died 2 years ago, I was the recipient of the thread in her 4 sewing baskets (hers, her mother's, her mother-in-laws and a spare one) It is all OLD. Lots of big spools of white "BASTING" thread. AND most of it is on wooden spools.

None of this thread works in my Viking Sapphire 870. Any ideas?
