I went to a living estate sale down the street & found this thread. It was all in one of those older plastic sewing containers. It was pretty heavy when I picked it up & it looked like there was quite a bit of thread but I never thought there would be this much. There were 16 large cones
7 small cones 8 small spools
    27 mini spools 5 bobbins w/thread
    46 large spools some elastic
    7 lge metallic sewing needles
    6 lge varigated

I got all this for $12.00. It was a man doing the sale & either he didn't check with anyone how much thread was worth or he just wanted to get rid of it. Of course, DH was with & asked "what are you going to do with all that?" Now is that a dumb question or what!

At the same sale I also got two boxes of cleaning supplies, laundry soap, some sponge cloths,& other misc. items all for $7.00. Plus for $3.00 I got a box of over 100 page protectors & about seven packs of index dividers. We went after it had been open for an hour & now I wish I had gone right away. It was a good day in the neighborhood!

Yay!!! Great deal, what are you going to do with all of those page protectors? I do not want any, just curious.

Super find! Wish I could be so lucky. I can think of numerous ways to use those sheet protectors. One year my daughter was unemployed and had no money to buy gifts for Christmas. I had extra 1 inch binders and sheet protectors.
Had her go through all our favorite recipes, and she typed all of them up on the computer, printed them off and made family cookbooks to give. It was great..

Wow, that was a good sale. I'd say you have more than enough thread for a long time.

I use page protectors for all the quilt patterns I want to save from magazines and the free patterns printed from on-line sources. It's an addiction like fabric stash! :-)

Nice deal! It's funny though, no matter how much I have or what the variety of colors, I often don't have just the right color for what I need! LOL
