    while helping my friend with yard sale, she brought out a box......... and in it was unfinished quilt done by her late MIL sometimes in eighties.
    My friend asked me if I want to finish it for her.
    So now I have it, it is hand pieced, but I am getting the hang of it already and I like it.

    I am just curious what is the name of this pattern

    I'm doing one in black and white the one I have is called Joesph's coat.

    It is time consuming I think maybe some day I will get it done or some one will find it in my stuff and finish it too.

    I believe it also goes by the name of Morning Star and Flower of Life although is is best known as Josephs Coat. So many of these old patterns (this one was part of the KC star series) go by different names depending on the area of the country.

    I am learning about hand piecing as I go, ordered Jenny Beyer's book from my library and of course, I am reading a lot on this forum.
