    well, many think they have proved this item to be a glove stretcher. they are wrong, i am sure. it is actually a chip clip - for closing up those bags of chips so they don't get stale. and i am sticking to my answer. lol

    Hi That is how we made shanghi sticks in Australia when we were kids .Tie large lacky bands (which we used to cut from bike tyre tubes )put a stone in there and stretch and shoot. Very effective but I beleive they are banned here now Carmen AUstralia

    These are glove stretchers. Used to put down into the fingers, especially leather gloves, and the opened to stretch so easier to put on. I inherited some from my ggrandmother.

    Actually they are to stretch leather gloves after they are washed. Kid gloves can be hand washed but they wrinkle up and get stiff. The stretchers are to stretch out the leather back to softness and smoothness.
