I am working in Electric Quilt 7 on a quilt I'm designing called "Roses for Pat" and here are two blocks I've designed. There's a bud and a flower. Does the flower block say "rose" to you?

I think these blocks would make a very beautiful quilt. Keep us posted as your progress:)

    They are both lovely blocks!

I like them the way they are, though to me, I see a nice flower and bud. I don't normally think of roses with pointy petals, so IMHO if you are wanting it to say "rose" the points need to be lopped off with one more white PP to give a more rounded (though squarish) effect to the petals. Again ... JIMHO!

it does say rose, maybe you should play around with switching the darker fabric with the lighter one.

Gorgeous blocks, but the flower block reads star to me... Maybe continue the bud block idea and do a side view where the green base shows? Or add some green points to the block for leaves.

I'm not sure if it says rose, but it will be a pretty flower.

I think it's a little bit pointy for a rose, but it's a gorgeous flower.
