I would echo the facial features and head and tongue and outside body. The front circles maybe a wavy effect to similutate furry lines. SITD around tongue and jowls.

Hmm, I'll have to check out thread painting, that's a new one for me. I'm excited to see how these turn out and how the recipient takes them. The dog-mom collects "spotted hound" things so I think this will fit the bill nicely.
