Your doll is absolutely beautiful, nicely done. I've used the same method you used, even on baby quilts that weren't too big, then I stitched about 1/2" from the edge so it looked like binding. I use it a lot on table runners and placemats as well. The first time I tried it I was making 25 small wall hangings for a family reunion and I did not want to put on binding, this was much faster and nobody noticed.

Adorable! Your doll has such a beautiful face; you did a great job drawing and coloring her features. And I love her hair! (I had an auburn haired cousin I loved who this doll somehow reminds me of). Her dress and quilt are beautifully made. Your granddaughter is too young to realize all the work that went into this but she will love it, of course!
