    What a nice quilt and great save Patrice! However, what are pindots and eyelashes on a quilt?? Pin dots I think I got figured out, but not for sure, LOL.

    if the tension is off, there will be loops of thread instead of nice tight stitches.
    in my case, the problem is usually not the machine.
    i used all the settings and threads i normally use on this quilt.
    i just couldn't find my "zone" ... (that perfect combination of machine speed and smooth movement of the sandwich under the needle.)

    did you make them all the same direction and then just turn them? it is a lovely quilt.

    yes. just sets of half-rectangle-triangles.
    first rotated to make sets of "zigs", which are then rotated to make "zags."
