How sweet! What a great idea. Children with special needs have a special kind of love to give and that warm hug of a quilt is a wonderful way to love them back. Kudos!!

p.s. I love the colors you have chosen especially the dacshund print since my "baby" is a mini dacshund named Ava.

What beautiful gifts you and your family are making and the joy your are giving! I have a little guy with special needs too and I believe he is pure, untarnished by the world around! His name is Jonathan and although he 16 he looks more like 9 and is developmentally more about the 2-3 range. Thanks for sharing...you lifted my heart today!

What a great idea!! I have found that the "special needs" children are so special and loving - they will most certainly appreciate their quilts. Also These kids bring out the best in us and allows us to show our love and support. You and your family are doing a great thing!!! Just goes to show that the little ones have a gift of bringing people together and brings out the best in all of us!!

While all of them are great quilts I really like #2. I really like that each quilt is personalized. Their families will be touched that you all hae thought of the needs of their kids. Thanks soo much for sharing.

Blessing to you all for what you do. Before I thought about quilting (or maybe it was there and I didn't see it), I made an elephant "quilt" for a little boy who had been badly burned and was bed ridden for a long time. Now, at 44yrs he still comes by to see me and still talks about that rag. They will remember your kindness and those quilts will be in their hearts yrs later.
After seeing the happiness and love they bring, you're gonna be hooked on quilting for kids. I am. God bless you for what you do.
