    Your lovely quilts and afghan will bring comfort and smiles to those who are going through difficult times. Thanks for posting the photos....if you can share the name of the pattern for the afghan, I would love to have it. I have a collection of yarn leftovers from many projects that would work well with this pattern.

    thanks, copycat. I don't really know the name of the pattern... i call it bricks. it's an oldie but a goodie. my mom had given me a sweater with that pattern when i was in high school and i've loved it ever since. it's fairly simple:
    1. knit 2 rows, purling on the back side
    2. knit 5, slip one across the row for 4 rows, purling on the back side
    3. knit 2 rows, purling on the back side
    4. knit 2, slip one to offset the bricks, *knit 5, slip one across the row for 4 rows, purling on the back side
