I had recently watched a PBS Nancy Z. episode on using "hankies" for embellishments on T-shirts, blouses, etc. I had decided may be I should just move my "hankies" off my shelf and place a classified ad.

After viewing this beautiful quilt, I think I will hold onto them and hopefully have an opportunity to work with this "art from the past." Sure beats our current Kleenex! :-)

I am so glad you posted this! I have tons of my grandmas hankies and I plan on making a quilt with them, in fact was thinking about it a few hours ago, but I am not sure how to go about it, seeing yours helps me and inspires me to start working on it. I hope mine comes out as pretty as yours.

I have hankies from an Aunt who died and wanted to make a few quilts for relatives, this will be a great idea. Thanks.
