    I would leave it the way it ended up and give it a clever name to make it "appear" that you did this on purpose.

    I love this quilt. Can you point us in the direction of a website that offers the pattern or the paper piece template?

    That is just lovely ----- and you will do what you have to do. Either way the quilt will be outstanding as the boo-boo looks like it belongs! One of those "only God is perfect" statements .............
