    Default Door hanging for senior

Our ex-neighbour, aged 88, loves to hang small quilt hangings I've made on her door at the Seniors Centre where she lives. While I've made her a Christmas one, I forgot about making her a winter one. Our son went to see her last week and she had her Spring themed one hanging backwards on her door as she had nothing for winter to display. So I quickly made her this winter one! Because of the glitter in the fabrics I used glittery white for the binding and also used metallic thread for the quilting. Since I took the photos, hubby has finished making the dowel rod, putting wood knobs on the ends and of course attaching his fishing line for hanging it. LOL!

That is so sweet of you to remember her. It must brighten her day.

How kind of you. Lovely door hanging. My Mom will be 88 this year. I never thought of making her a door hanging. Great idea.

Your door banner is perfect, but I am most impressed with the son who goes to visit an elderly neighbor in the Senior Care Center, and also takes note of her surroundings.
