    I like it with the sashing, but I think I would make the sashing very narrow.

    yes, I think it would look nice this way too, but I think the recipient will love it either way.

    I vote for sashing -- just a narrow strip makes everything pop.

    i like the sashing. but for a child's quilt, probably not so much black is better

    I like it without but it kinda depends if the sashing would help make it a more appropriate size quilt - Not sure if you said what size the blocks were so the sashing may give it a little more "cover" room.
