Default Double Irish Chain theme quilt.

This quilt comes from PA. Double Irish chain blocks with a diagonal sashing and two outside borders. The client asked that we provide the quilting layout, so the blocks are done with a repeating DIC block pattern. The inside border and sashing are done in a leaf border with a 4 heart clover at the intersections. The outside border done with a feather border. She also asked that we machine attach the binding, returning it to her to hand sew the back.

Hope you enjoy the pictures and they give you some ideas.

Nice choice of fabrics; it looks quite different from a distance and close up.

I'm new to Irish Chain - what makes this one "double"?
