I'm so glad you asked what "tons of fullness" means, cause I was wondering the same thing! Lol

I'm always amazed when I see quilting like this. It's an absolutely perfect design. It seems to fill the quilt top so well. My piecing is passable, I can see patterns and color. But, boy, do I have a hard time "seeing" who a top should be quilted. I may just have to admit this is not something I'm destined for and just leave it to talented pros like you guys!

No question is silly When I say "fullness," I mean that the quilt does not lay flat, that there is "extra" fabric that would otherwise make a pleat in the quilt when quilted. The centers of each ring had way too much fabric in them and didn't lay flat (as compared to the ring portion of the block). That's why we needed to add extra batting when quilting. I guess saying there was "too much fullness" is nicer than saying it wasn't exactly pieced correctly.
