Default Double Wedding ring using brides color choice

i was so happy to make this quilt for my nephew & his new bride until i heard her color choice. she wanted teal, maroon, light yellow & tan ... in batiks. yuck. i hated it until i got the teal binding on. with the scalloped edges it turn out pretty nice. i quilted their names in the melon slices just so that couldn't re-gift the quilt. i piece & quilt on my viking sapphire 850.

I think this is beautiful, and you did an admirable job with fabrics that you didn't like (the hardest kind of project to finish!). This is a lovely treasure and I would be very upset if they tried to re-gift it.

When I saw your list of colours I thought, as you did, yuck, BUT it turned out beautiful. Hopefully, they will love & appreciate all the wonderful work that you did. Kudos to you.

These are not colours I would use because I can't visualize but it is just beautiful. I love the colours. You've made them a beautiful quilt that I'm sure they will treasure.
