I've never watched the show but I love your quilt and the fabrics. Setting your blocks on point really turned out a beautiful quilt.

I love this!! Which of the Downton Abbey patterns is this one?

I hear many of the shop owners saying that they did not think this fabric line was really workable for quilts - but boy did you prove them wrong!! I have 1/2 yard of every fabric in this line ( Did I say I LOVED the fabric) and plan to make a quilt using a very old quilt my grandmother made as the pattern………will have to post a pic of that sometime…….

BUT - I think this is just wonderful……….cannot wait to see it once quilted - and so glad you are using the wool batting…….that is so nice and light and WARM!! Quilts like sewing thru warm butter……...

CONGRATS on a beautiful piece of art!!

The pattern is "ladies of Downton". I bought it at fatquartershop.com I actually bought the kit, and the backing kit, so it would al be Downton fabric. I cut a little different than the pattern suggest - to minimize waste! and had 9 different fabric left (1/4 yard pieces!) So I bought a bit more, and will me making another quilt with it. (Different pattern, not a Downton pattern).

No two blocks have the same fabric pairing in them...

and thanks so much Can't wait to be able to quilt it!!

I actually ordered from fatquartershop in the US. I tried to find a Canadian store, but I only found one that carried SOME of the fabric... not all.
