Thanks for passing on the link - I'm always willing to make kid's quilts for a good cause. I signed up right away.

Oh Wow Up North - you have really started something. This is so great how everyone is joining in. The postage cost would be too high for me.
Will have to look into some charities over here.

I really can't take credit for posting the link it was on the links pages by key4unc and that is where I saw it and ordered my kit, I started this thread when I got my fabric. But I am sure glad I posted it here and that they are now receiving such a grand response. I almost have my stash top done jsut need to get batting.

Okay, I got mine today, and it's this same one! I'm so excited! I'm at work now, but want to go right home and start sewing! After Christmas, I'm soooo going to do more of them!

Go to your local hospitals and ask them what their need is. NIC Units often are looking for quilts. But beware, there are some specific "rules" to follow (not much quilting, etc.) due to the weight of the quilt and the scratchiness of it against the baby's skin, etc.

Ask nursing homes, animal shelters, rehab centers, etc.

All of my students are going to do this. Also tomorrow is our ASG neighhood group meeting and I'm going to challenge them to make the quilts. I belong to a very giving group. Tomorrow we are making baby clothes for "Newborns in Need".
May I ask what is "newborns in need"? Making baby clothes is second only to quilts on my list of favorite things to sew...
