Ladies, those are both good ideas and will work! I will post the pic after Christmas. Right now my brain isn't working very well. I might use a lighter orange and place them "artistically". Haha
I have some cute cats left over from a cat quilt. I haven't dug them out, but they might work too. I just put the package up and started on the other quilt last night.
    Thanks for the cool suggestions.
Wishing all the forum people a Joyous Christmas and a Full quilting New Year!.

I just put my first completed quilt for kids back in the mail to them. I didn't get a picture of it! I will post a picture of the next set of fabric and the completed quilt. I just love doing these quilts!! I am so glad other people are also.

I just signed up, and I am going to make MORE to send from the patterns they have listed. I do quilt for a friend that does make them for Children's hospital in Seattle, for the Love of Brian, but I have never MADE them. I can start NOW, and I have the longarm...I love doing this. I am excited about getting the kit.

Here's some pics of two quilts that I finished for the Downy QFK program. On the one with the flip-flop fabric, I folded the backing over to the front and stitched it down with a feather stitch to create the binding. On the one with the cats on it, I added a separate lime color border with stash fabric since the backing and border fabric were the same.

Eddie, they are both cute. I love the cat fabric. I don't enjoy making the French binding, it just seems too time consuming. I might have to go through my stash and make my own binding.
