Absolutely love this quilt! It really caught my eye when I saw the photo so of course it is now on my to do list .... and fairly high up on that list too. Love the colors your chose and it would make a great "male" quilt. Nice that you do a tote to go with it. I agree with sewbizgirl: You are a fabulous gift-giver!

WOW.............lucky person to have you as a friend. Both are not only thoughtful but beautiful. I have thought of gifting in a pillowcase but usually don't even get that far. LOVE, LOVE the colors you chose.

Both the bag and the quilt make a wonderful gift for your friend.

Love your quilt and especially the back (I'm assuming it's the back). Did you sew all those strips together and what size strips? Looks like a lot of work and it turned out really stunning. Love the tote too. Awesome job.

Yes, the back is made from left over fabric. The strips were left over. Either I read the pattern wrong or the pattern has errors. I haven't looked back on it to see what it happened. The back strips are left over from the front. I just sewed them into one large block. I think they were 1 1/2" wide to start with.

Ladies you're so very sweet with everything you have said.
