Dresden Block....UPDATED 8-29-08 ready for the quilters! any Ideas????
#15
Your block is super and I love the colors that you used. The Dresden Plate, one of the Egg Money Quilts in the 1930 era... The point of each wedge is sewn and the wedges are sewn after. I think it is the main reason why the points are so easy to match.

mgshaw...Thank you...no we only used monofilament theard on the top and a 60wt thread in the bobbin....on a 1 for wideth and a 1 on length....then we would count 1..2..3...4..5..over etc...
you can check out the site that Louise C left that is almost exactly how we did it except we used charm packs.... :D

Louise C.....Thank you and Thank you for posting that site it is almost exactly what we did....was so much fun and easier that I thought it would be...was just nice to have someone help guide us in the right steps.. :D
Moonpi...gee sure don't know if I picked up any more tips..since it was my first time...lets see if any of these are tips for you okay....use a 60/8 microtex sharp needle ...60 weight thread in bobbin...totally tear-away stabilizer..(cause this is lighter than freezer paper...) change stich length to 2 on my machine ....when I applique change all to a 1 and count for the blind hem stitch...1..2..3..4..5...over ...anything good in there?????
Roben...Thank you
