Default Dresden Dahlia/Sunflower Pillow

I finished up this block into a pillow since I didn't want it to become an orphan block.

Very interesting modern twist on an old pattern. Nicely done as all your projects are.

I used a thrift store shirt for the background and back. It felt kind of flimsy compared to quilting fabric so I pre cross hatched the background with a cotton batt behind it. Here is the back without the pillow form because it shows up better.

Great idea for the back! Do the buttons open to wash?

Wonderful block!! I really like the quilting in the center of the flower. Using a shirt for the back is a wonderful idea.

Ingenious idea for back. I have seen variations that were made but never thought of using a shirt.
