Default Dresden Dahlia?

I should stay away from Pinterest! I saw a picture of this block and had to try it. I think it might end up being a pillow front. I think the name is Dresden Dahlia but I am not sure. The nice part is, there are no raw edges showing so I can stitch it right to a background square.

It must be nice to have the ability to look at a photo and reproduce it! Not in my realm! Beautiful block.

Can we have a"how to" pattern please. I am a Dresden plate fan ( excuse the pun) and use the ruler to make mine but the secondary petal foxes me rather as to how you sewed it into the main flower/ plate. You are indeed very clever to work it out yourself. I have seen one on MSQC but that was just the insertion of a contrasting triangle shape folded down the middle from point to bottom, then pressed flat, which was pretty. Yours seems more intricate. Brilliant! Thanks for sharing your talents.
