I cut the flowers out of a shear organza material, leaving 1/8 around the flower just to make sure I caught all of the flower when sewing. Glued them in place. I set my machine 2.5 wide and down to a satin stitch 5. I did the inside outline of the petals first, then the outside, in the center I used a leaf design and shortened it to make the middle cover up. Be sure to sew the flowers in the (background) first. They came out very pretty to look at, I am amazed at myself lol. Syl

Can I ask a silly question too? How long are each of your plates? Did you use a Dresden ruler? I love your design. Dresden plate is one of my favorites. I made a few Christmas blocks for a swap when I first joined the QB. We used a pattern that had a specific template. I really would like to make a giant one. Thank you for showing yours and for your directions for your centers.
