I have thought about getting a treadle machine for years, but didn't really, really want one until I started seeing all of yours! That is when I decided I the one I wanted was a Redeye. We have not made the rounds of the second hand stores, estate sale or rummage sales in some time and today they just were calling my name. This AM DH and I just pooped out early, came home and took a nap. When we got up we had a couple things to do and I 'suggested' that we try 'one' more second hand shop. It was a mad house in there! It was 1/2 price day!! We meandered through the kitchen stuff into the back where they have the TV's and DH said, 'What's that?' That was when I about fell over when we opened the top! I also didn't figure I'd ever find one with this type of cabinet either..... Cabinet is in rough shape, but all parts work. The machine needs to cleaned, but 'spins' easy and it needs a bobbin cover with the spring to hold it on and the spool pin so far. But her is Miss Elizabeth, Born April 28, 1920 in Elizabethport, Elizabeth, NJ.

It is beautiful! I have never seen a tredle cabinet like that. Very art deco and very unique, even if it is in rough shape. Congrats.

That is fabulous! The cabinet is pretty! And for 1/2 price too? You would have kicked yourself if you didn't get it!!

WOW!!!!!!! I have a feeling that's a very unique cabinet. I saw one like it on Youtube. The person was showing how it works and it was fascinating!
