I took a class on Sunday so am just starting my very first one! Here's the beginning of my layout play - it will probably take me months to decide on a layout!

I''m not sure how old this quilt is. My Great Aunt Mae made it many years ago. She died in 1977, and my Grandma (her sister) gave it to me 5 years ago. Grandma doesn't know how old it is. It is all hand sewn and hand quilted. I am thankful that I have it. I appreciate it so much more since I have started quilting.

I haven't tried this yet but I do like the hot pads. I will have to give it a try. Hot pads look like a great way to try out a new block.
