What a fun day we had!!!! My step-daughter came to our quilting day for a lesson. We used the tube as I wanted her to be able to go home with a completed project. She was so keen...and asked at the end of the day if we can do this again...and could she try making a "real" quilt!!! LOL I think it helped that a couple of the gals had quilts there that were ready for binding, or just in need of an outer border.

My mom sent us some money to get her a C'mas gift, so we added some to that and bought her a sewing machine. This is the first opportunity she has had to be able to really use it. I think she initially agreed to come today as a favor to me...and surprised herself at how much fun she had. I brought a LARGE selection of fabrics for her to choose from. Interestingly, she bypassed all the bright, funky colours, and went for the softer florals.

Now she is talking about where will she put her machine in her room at college. :) What do you think....did she get the bug today? :D

Great job getting another one hooked with the quilting bug! I love her fabric choices and her projects! I'm so glad that you can bond with your DSD.
