Duo of masculine quilts, almost done
Hi Everyone,
Shown here are two quilts that will be gifts for adult volunteers of the local Boy Scout troop. These individuals have been great mentors to my son and many other kids through the years, and I am pleased to say that my son has just earned his Eagle rank - the highest rank in scouting. I have posted each quilt a while back, when they were tops, and some of the board members were hoping to see them once they were quilted. Just need to do bindings now. In both cases, I was working soley from my stash.
Green and Blue is called Lake Oswego Stars, and the pattern was from Quilters' Newsletter Magazine Dec. 2004. It was professionally quilted.
Tan and Red is named Whole Grain Oats, and the pattern was published under the name Apple Crisp in American Patchwork and Quilting, October 2011. I made minor modifications to the original. It was also professionally quilted, by a different long arm quilter than the other.
Thanks for looking and happy sewing.
