Thanks everybody. The lettering still has to dry but here is what I am doing for the label. The flowers have the medium on them and are dry, the lettering, even though I did it with pigma pens, has the medium on it but is still drying. After it dries, there shouldn't be any "shadowing" around the letters. If you notice, the flowers have dried cleared.

That would be a cute idea. Earlier in the thread somebody asked if the fabric medium could be used for labels that were printed up on the computer. That got me thinking that this would also be a cute and fast way to do some labels. Instead of printing them up on printer, use pigma pens for the words and color a design on with the pencils,e tc. I hae to do a label for a wall hanging that has to be mailed out next week. I might work on something like that today.
Thanks for sharing with us! I have to do a label for a friend's quilt that his mother made for him many years ago and this just looks perfect!

Love that mug rug too - since I am the very grateful recipient of it. Thank you so much Bonni - it is as gorgeous in person as in the picture. Hugs

Glad that you liked it Dee. You deserved it for being hostess on some swaps and doing a great job. :)

Thanks everybody. I bought some watercolor pencils and am in the process of learning how to use them. That mug rug was done just using regular colored pencils. The watercolor pencils blend better so it will be interesting to see how it works out.
