Easy Casserole Carrier

I see the strap and the d-rings but I have a question. Is the strap sewn down on its edges? I dont understand how if it is sewn down that you pull it threw the rings. Please help me. I am sure it is pretty easy I am just not getting it in my mind. Thanks so much Kim

I have made many of these. I make the main fabric 28" square, the insul-brite 21" square and a piece of quilted fabric
21" for inside. I like my inside boarder to look richer, so that is about 3" (finished), and makes it look better, but you don't have to do it that way. This is my way of doing it.

I cut the front & back either 18" square or 20" square. Cut insulate the same size. You could cut the insulate smaller if you wish but I couldn't be bothered messing around with that.

Just came across this today and gives me a great idea for Christmas and wedding gifts as we are a family who gathers a few times a year at the farm for an covered dish reunions and some of us travels over 2 !/2 hours which this would also keep a little warmer/cooler than w/o it! Thanks muchly for this site!!
