    GREAT JOB, meemersmom! I love what you did with this unusual collection of colors! This is my favorite pattern, too. I made my first with the original 5" blocks. It is a big bag and very handy for lots of things. Then I made one a little smaller using 4" blocks. I plan to make another with even smaller blocks so it would be more "purse-like". I also LOVE those magnetic snaps because they can be sewn on with a sewing machine and don't cut into the fabric.

    I just went to McCalls website to try to buy the April 2009 issue and it was 5.99 which was fine but when I went to check out the calculator added about 12.00 for postage...so I am not buying it..I will try to wing the pattern...it looks like there are 12 squares front and back..6 on each side and 8 on the bottom...?Do you put some stiffener in..forgot the name of that stuff??
