Hello my friend i cannot believe you have also made this quilt. I have just ordered this book for my 50th Birthday 14 Jan and getting my friends to buy it for me. I was so taken in with the story and so want the book as a SHOW PIECE with the spiral binding and the newspaper articles. I am hoping to make this as well for the history sake.
    YOURS IS SO LOVELY

Your quilt is so cute! Love how you used accents (like buttons). The floweres are perfect! What a keepsake!!

The dragonfly was an embellishment that I purchased at JoAnne's.

Love the 3D effect for the flowers. Love the colors too, so like my garden in the spring.
