You must really be a sweetheart because I would have probably said, SORRY and left it at that.
She complained to her mother and she is the one I am making the quilt for. My time and effort will be well compensated for. Let's put it this way: My friend is a great tipper. She will bring the quilt to her daughter. I am well aware there is a lot of issues between her daughter and her daughter in law and I am not surprised this issue happened. I have heard some amazing stories about jealousy from them.

It amuses me, because I have 2 siblings and I am the only one away from home. My sister gets to see my Mom any time she wants and my brother is across the street from her and she takes care of his kids. I am not a bit jealous of whatever either one of them gets from her. I am just happy to be able to talk to her any time I want.
I agree that you are a great person for making the quilt, since I agree I would have said no if someone complained. But, like you said, more backstory with sibling rivalry than we're aware of. Beautiful quilt and you're a beautiful person :)

Ha, I like your quote Maride. Sheldon is adorable in an annoying sort of way, lol. Anyway, the quilt for the boy is just great and so nice of you to make it, whatever the circumstance.

Don't we all have family members like that? lol My family is/was scattered. Two siblings are gone now from cancer. I only have one sister left. Made her a quilt. I also made her grandaughter a quilt... have plans to make grandson and other grandaughter a quilt, along with both her sons. I just started quilting last year and have made two daughters and son, and grandson quilts. Yes, I have made several for myself. Getting back to the issue. Only one neice has hinted at my making one for her....by the way, your quilt is beautiful. Let us know how she likes it.

Looks like a fun quilt. You are so generous to have made it so quickly. Cheers for you!
