    Thank you so much for sharing your pictures. I was at the show it was fantastic.I kept picking a quilt and say "that's my favourite" then go to the next group and change my mind.
    So many gifted quilters.

    The amateur award is in addition to but separate from all the other categories and means that she declared when she entered that she hadn't made any money from teaching, had not published any books on the subject and had not won any other major shows. It excludes the pros to give the hobby quilters a chance. But having seen that woman's work in real life, she'd give most of the pros a run for their money, it's true! But she IS an amateur by their definition, that quilt was huge and it was all done on a DSM - the FMQ was mind-boggling. It was overall Best in Show too:-D
